Anytime, Anywhere

A New Dance Class:  Original Curriculum created by Omonike Akinyemi, MFA to develop versatility in the professional and pre-professional dancer and movement artist.  Weekly sessions meet Monday and Wednesday evenings  January through June 2024.  Live or Virtually.   Upon passing a Final Assessment, Participants Receive a Certificate of Completion and can move onto the next level.  (Levels 1-8 focus on varying aspects of each dance form as well as the ability to move between genres).

About the Course Creator:  Omonike Akinyemi holds an MFA from the University of Southern California and works as a professional dancer, choreographer, and filmmaker. 

She is a 2023 NYSDEA Dance Educator Historian  Awardee and a Certified Teacher in Dance and Professional Photography (grades 7-12) through the New York State Education Department (NYSED).  Omonike danced with Ballet Hispanico of New York and is currently artistic director of Image Quilt Cinema  & Dance Theater.
