Actress, Desiree Carlson, here discusses how she developed her character, Mergette, a corporate woman seeking power. Omonike Akinyemi, discusses how she wanted both the colonizer and colonised to share the burden and possibility of redemption.
Sketches from the Edge of Flamenco is a set of 6 scenes that delve into issues such as empowerment, isolation, fear, love, lust, and immigration.


This year Image Quilt will feature work of visual and performing artists before and after movie screenings. Come to an event to learn more about the work of Tage Sprague, sculptor, who is also the lead carpenter designing our screening space and dance studio..

"Paris/Black/Woman":
Is a documentary and dance piece that Image Quilt Productions, Inc. is producing. Filmed on 35mm, 16mm, and digital video between 1997 and 2003, the piece tells the story of people of African descent living in Paris, France and their struggle with visibility. Their struggle mirrors our own. Performed on Feb 1st, 2016 at Montclair State University in New Jersey, with performers, Marsha Pierre, Emmanuel Paulino, and Omonike Akinyemi, the piece can be commissioned for public performance.
